While out on a monitoring session on Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park, our team came across this incredible sighting of two male Giraffes ‘necking’. In this display of dominance, male Giraffes will use their necks and ossicones to land blows on each other's bodies. Despite appearances, it's more of a ritual than a serious fight, and the goal is to establish hierarchy and determine who gets the chance to mate.
