Finally broke down and bought a Shure Beta 52A after years of using an Audix D6 on my kick drum. I always thought the Beta 52A sounds slightly better than the D6, so I decided to compare the two. You might need some good headphones or speakers to hear the difference, but the result is largely what you see in the frequency response curve.
