Eric began his journey into weaving only three years ago in a Penland workshop with Lisa Hill. “I was really nervous to learn, because I thought it would be like, ‘you must do it this way’ and ‘oh and it’s not perfect’ and a lot of measuring.” he told us. Happily, Eric fell in love with weaving and has been learning and experimenting ever since. This gorgeous weave came out of a prompt to “reimagine America.” We had the pleasure of speaking with Eric during his winter residency here at Penland.
