So let’s talk about some of my test equipment. This is my variac and isolation transformer power supply. I built this in 2018 and it’s have been my most used piece of equipment. If you work on old electronics you definitely need one of these on your bench. Just because you have a variac doesn’t mean it’s isolated from the line. You need a dedicated isolation transformer.
