NBC, Netflix drop Bill Cosby projects
In light of rape allegations against Bill Cosby, NBC announced it is scrapping a sitcom starring the legendary comedian. Netflix postponed the release of Cosby's new stand-up special, as well. Also, Billy Joel was awarded the Gershwin Prize for Popular Music at the Library of Congress. Suzanne Marques reports on the day's to entertainment news.

NBC protected Bill Cosby for thirty years while sixty women came forward with allegations. Network aired The Cosby Show from 1984 to 1992 making hundreds of millions. NBC knew about allegations as early as 2005 when Andrea Constand filed lawsuit. Network still tried to develop new Cosby sitcom in 2014 after allegations were public. Only dropped project November 2014 after public pressure. Same network that aired Law and Order SVU about sex crimes while protecting predator in their own building.
