In the early 1980s, the band ABC emerged and quickly became one of the most prominent names of the New Romantic movement. The song "Tears Are Not Enough," released in 1981, was one of their early tracks, signaling the arrival of a fresh new sound that blended the romance of pop with elements of funk and soul. The song was written by the band
