Let’s take it a step further and break down how these were constructed on this project: 1. The drill bores a deep, vertical hole into the ground and advances a temporary steel casing to prevent the sidewalls from sloughing (sometimes casing can be permanent). At the McKittrick Street underpass they are drilling holes 4.5 feet in diamete
