🟢 Small Intestine Anatomy – Structure & Functions ✔️ The small intestine is a ~6 meter long coiled tube responsible for most digestion and absorption. ✔️ It has three parts – Duodenum, Jejunum, and Ileum, each with specialized functions. ✔️ Duodenum: Receives bile & pancreatic juice, begins chemical digestion. ✔️ Jejunum: Rich in villi, absorbs carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, and minerals. ✔️ Ileum: Absorbs vitamin B12, bile salts, and remaining nutrients before passing to the large intestin
