Second position on pointe is not meant to feel “comfortable” but it is meant to feel manageable. And it all comes down to one very practical detail: the width of your second. If it’s too wide, everything becomes harder: getting up, balancing, controlling your descent. Place it with intention, and suddenly the work makes sense. Here are the three key points: 🩰 Keep your heels no wider than your shoulders. 🩰 Measure the position once outside of combinations so your body understands the distance.
