I want to highlight a cheese near and dear to me. Armenian string cheese is a braided dense mild cow’s milk cheese laced with nigella seed. I love to serve it at dinner parties, marinate it, or make a pretty incredible grilled cheese which is what I did here. Hot pickled peppers, garlic, @lanisfarm overwintered broccoli rabe and thin pieces of the Armenian string cheese all wrapped in Markouk, a flatbread I picked up at Damascus bakery also on Atlantic Ave. | PierceAbernathy
