Wow! Babylon! So evocative, so little left … but it does not disappoint! Once the largest city in the world, its heyday during the reign of King Nebuchadnezzar 7C BC saw amazing ceramic walls, a processional route used by great leaders such as Cyrus the Great, Alexander the Great… still with it’s original tarmac, yes, readily available locally!
