On this day 16 years ago Winter the Dolphin was rescued after being found entangled in a crab trap line at just two months old. The line cut off circulation to her tail flukes and led to the eventual loss of those flukes. Against all odds, Winter adapted and made a complete recovery. Since then, Winter has inspired millions of people through her strength and resilience, and will continue to do so through her legacy. In January 2022, CMA will spread Winter’s ashes in the Gulf of Mexico returning
