Tom Varga, who we called FOOTBALL LATS, was very strong as a teenager. At ~170 lbs he could bench press 315x20 and 405x5. In his early 20's and around 210 pounds, he shocked powerlifters at George Turner's Gym in West County. They had every joint in their body wrapped and were wearing suits squatting 500 lbs for singles.
