A viewer sent us this video of a power line arcing on the ground, creating a big power flash, near OJ Watson Park in south Wichita. Evergy reports that about 1,850 customers in the area are without power. Officials warn to never approach or come into contact with a downed power line. An arcing powerline sparked a fire on Southeast 91st Avenue Monday afternoon, burning a section of asphalt but causing no structural damage or injuries. Fire crews quickly responded around 4:24 p.m. near the old Marshall High School campus to extinguish the flames and secure the area.
