Today (June 23) is the 113th birthday anniversary of Alan Turing.... Alan Turing (1912 - 1954) was an English mathematician and computer scientist. Along with John von Neumann, he is considered one of the leading pioneers of computer science. In 1936, he conceived of the Turing machine, a theoretical model which has become the basis for all electronic computation. During World War II, he led the team at Bletchley Park to develop the Colossus Computer, which ultimately broke the Enigma code used
